When Friday at 5pm comes, what do you feel? And, what about Sunday at 7pm...what's that feel like for you?
I bet you they're very different feelings. Because a year ago I used to feel that too. I can remember dreading going shopping for new work clothes at New York & Co knowing that all I wanted were my Birkenstocks & to rock my natural curls.
On one side I felt like I fit in really well. I mean, yeah I was going to my 9-5 like everyone else. But HATING it. (P.S. Note to self ( + to you) stop fitting in + start standing out) My last job working at an insurance agency was the straw that broke the camel's back. I knew that when I was spending my time wanting to create blogs & podcasts rather than figuring out insurance quotes that something needed to change.
Recently I've been fully standing in who I am. And making no apologies for it. Being alone when I want, saying no (ugh, it feels so good!), asking for what I want or distancing myself from things I don't want. I've never felt more myself than I have these last two weeks. And in the shower the words "do you movement" came to me.
Literally. I was washing the conditioner out of my hair and I kept hearing "do you movement!" And I'm like I don't know what the hell this is, but I like it & it's meant for me.
On today's show I talk about the #DoYouMvmnt and what this means. I go in to what my life used to look like and what it looks like now. If you sprint out of the office on Fridays & dread your Sunday evenings; if you have a burning passion to create but feel you "should" be living a different life; if you are wanting to take a leap and afraid to take the first step, this podcast is for you.
I stand behind this movement with all of my heart. And I know that if you feel the aforementioned things, that this is for you too. Let's head to the show.
