Slow Cooker Whole Roasted Chicken
What is better than having a dinner cook on autopilot? Umm, nothing. I can't think of anything better (besides tacos, ice cream & Christmas Day) than having your dinner cook while you fully enjoy your day. I think that's why I hold my slow cooker so near and dear to my heart. Too far? Nah, we're tight. We go way back.
Anytime I can use my slow cooker, I definitely will. What's not to like? You only use one pot, you can choose how long it cooks and there are usually leftovers for days. Tell me that's not cool?
Cue this beautiful whole chicken! Most of the time when I'm grocery shopping I try to pick up a whole chicken. Especially if I'm on a budget or I know I'm going to have a busy week.
Once you cook this baby once, you can use it over & over again. Want BBQ chicken, you've got it! Chicken breakfast nachos, yep, you've got it. Or quick & easy chicken wraps like this guys? Uh huh, all yours.
You know what else this is good for? Dinner parties! I've been dying to have a dinner party. Invite a few friends over, put up those pretty twinkling lights & enjoy conversation over a delicious dinner. This whole chicken would definitely feed a crowd. Don't get skimpy with it. Take it down to the bone, my friend.
No matter your reason for cooking this beautiful bird, just do it. You won't be sorry. You'll thank yourself later in the week when you're home way later than expected and don't want to cook. Trust me. Been there, done that!
